Monday Munchies: Short and Sweet

First, and most importantly, my WordPress homepage is snowing? Anyone else?

Second, I’ve been trying to comment on blogs all day but for some reason it WON’T POST MY COMMENTS!!! It seems as though it won’t post comments when I’m signed-in with my Have Your Cake And e-mail, but when I post anonymously, it works. This is quite frustrating.

Third, I have two small recipes to share!

Well kind of. The first recipe is just my favorite combination for overnight oats.

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1 container blueberry Chobani
  • 1 scoop vanilla Whey protein
  • 1/3 cup original almond milk
  • 1 cup frozen berries

Mix and let sit overnight. Soooooooooooo goooooooooood.

And so is this granola… the second recipe.

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • dash of cinnamon
  • dash of salt

Mix it all together, spread onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 325* until golden (about 30 minutes). Even if you don’t want to eat it, you should still make it. I was drooling at the scent of it.

What’s your favorite overnight oats combination?

  1. For a few weeks this summer the same thing was happening to me when I tried to comment on blogs! So annoying!!! I emailed a support person for WordPress and they figured it out…I was on some spam list accidentally haha so you may want to look into that just in case.

Oh and my favorite overnight oats combo involves pumpkin, obviously. Yours sounds delish!

  2. Wait my homepage is snowing too!! I actually kind of like it. And I’ve been having blog problems lately too. My reader has been acting very screwy lately and it’s driving me crazy! Also, do you get notifications when you’re tagged in other people’s posts?

  3. I have a snowing homepage too! At first I thought it was someone’s theme and was like oh woahh someone’s fancy. Then realized it was everywhere! I’ve only done overnight oats once and it was in an old jar of blueberry Lavendar preserves with almond milk! So good!!

  4. Definitely snowing on my homepage! So I’ve tried making overnight oats twice….and I just can’t get into it! It’s always turned out too thick for my liking. Also, I usually buy quick oats which may play into it. Your combo with the flavored yogurt sounds good though! Hmmmm :)

    • Yes! The longer you bake it, the crunchier it gets.. I pretty much bake it until it’s just before burning so you have to watch it really close at the end. Also note that it won’t be crunchy when you take it out of the oven, it gets crunchy as it cools. The internship is good!! I will do an update post in the next couple days :)
