You guys…

I fiiiiiinally did the video I’ve been promising for like, oh, two months now.

This is a peak into my fridge/pantry on a budget. I realized after watching this video that my choices in foods are 100% dictated by my budget, which currently isn’t much but it’s what I have to work with for now. A lot of what is in my kitchen will change when I soon (hopefully) have a real, big girl job and can afford to buy the things I really want. I’ll do an update video then!

P.S. If you get motion sickness, then I apologize in advance.. I don’t have great video-making skills okay?

And for the record, I do not drink Monster. Like I said, they are Andrew’s and I don’t like that he drinks them, not one bit! I do not recommend energy drinks at all.

  1. When I lived with my roommate in college, we NEVER touched each other’s food because we always ate different things. And when I moved to Los Angeles and had a roommate for the first year, same thing. He would drink GALLONS of orange juice and eat sausage and peppers every night… And I would eat lots of fish, and he hates fish! Worked out perfectly. lol!

  2. WHOO this was fun! I live with my mom and sister, and they eat dairy and I don’t so I never touch a lot of their dairy based foods. But everything else is fair game!

  3. LOVED THIS!! We have those Nature Valley Protein bars at my office! So yummy. And the Flavor Boost stuff is really good too, I impulse-bought it once because I had a coupon :-) I notice you don’t have a ton of snacks/sweets on hand! I tell people all the time that the best way to eat healthy is to just not have that stuff in your pantry…I think you’re pretty much a perfect example of that in action! I think the chips and ice cream would suffice for me :)

    My roommate gets a lot of Trader Joes pre-made frozen meals/entrees/sauces that I generally don’t buy. Most stuff I make myself to avoid added ingredients! Also, kinda weird, but she eats a lot of butter hahaha. Strange cause otherwise she’s really healthy and likes to eat plant-based when possible!

    • Oh also, as if my comment weren’t long enough already… There’s a brand of almond milk called So Delicious that actually has fortified almond milk with something like 5g protein? Prob still not as much as soy milk, but definitely worth keeping an eye out for!

    • EXACTLY, I’m an “out of sight out of mind” kind of person.. I cannot have crap in my house, I would eat it for sure. I’ve not been able to find that almond milk but I have heard about it, regular almond milk literally has zero protein though so I should keep looking because it’s delish!

  4. Your BF’s energy drink in your pantry reminds me of my husband’s love for soda. I’m not a fan of soda but he LOVES it and it’s always in our kitchen. If I was doing the same video I would totally put the disclaimer too! haha
